Pastor Greg Longtin and his wife Judy arrived in Harvey Saturday August 1, 2015 having traveled to us from Easley, South Carolina where Pastor Greg was the pastor at Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Easley for the previous 5 1/2 years. Even though they came to us from South Carolina, Pastor Greg and Judy are no strangers to living in the north. They grew up in Crookston, MN, and have had no problem acclimating to the winter weather.
Pastor Greg has a BFA in theater, with an emphasis in technical production, has a PMC, and a MA in Religion from the Institute for Lutheran Theology and continues his education through that same organization. Judy has a BS in textiles and consumer studies with a minor in theater.
Pastor Greg and Judy were married September 4th 1982, have 2 children, their daughter Katherine (Kate) is married to Frank Johnson and they have three children, a girl Natalie and two sons, Elias and Wilder. Their other daughter Samantha is married to Evan Nordine, she has one child, a little girl, Brooklyn from a previous marriage and son, Milo, in this marriage. Kate and family live in Strawberry Point, IA and Samantha lives in Hallock , MN.
Pastor Greg and Judy are excited to be 'up north' and are enjoying the slower pace of life that small town America provides. They look forward to walking in the spiritual journey with the members of Faith.
