Statements Of Our Faith
WE BELIEVE, TEACH AND CONFESS the Triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
WE BELIEVE, TEACH AND CONFESS Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and the gospel as the power of God for the salvation of all who believe in Him.
Jesus Christ is the Word of God incarnate, through whom everything was made and through whose life, death, and resurrection God fashions a new creation.
God’s message to us, as both law and gospel, is the Word of God, revealing judgment and mercy in the person and work of Jesus Christ, through whom God was pleased to reconcile all things to Himself.
WE BELIEVE, TEACH AND CONFESS the Bible is the only inspired and authoritative word of God, is the only source for Christian doctrine, and is accessible to all (Sola Scriptura-by Scripture alone)
WE BELIEVE, TEACH AND CONFESS that justification is received by faith only, without any mixture of or need for good works (Sola fide- by grace alone)
WE BELIEVE, TEACH AND CONFESS that salvation comes by God’s grace or “unmerited favor” only, not as something merited by the sinner (Sola gratia- by grace alone)
WE ACCEPT the Apostles’ Creed and Nicene Creed, as true declarations of the Scriptural faith we believe, teach, and confess.
THIS CONGREGATION ACCEPTS the Unaltered Augsburg Confession as a true witness of the Gospel, acknowledging as one with it in faith and doctrine all churches that likewise accept the teachings of the Unaltered Augsburg Confession.
THIS CONGREGATION ACCEPTS the other confessional writings in the Book of Concord namely: the Apology of the Augsberg Confession, the Small Catechism, the Large Catechism, and the Formula of Concord, as further valid interpretations of the faith of the Church..
WE BELIEVE, TEACH AND CONFESS that the only way to God and His heaven is through His Son, Jesus the Christ. Without faith in Jesus Christ only, a person cannot be saved.
